Overcome Shyness. Find Your Voice

"I used to be very shy and afraid to speak in a group. FEB Toastmasters helps me get rid of the fear. Toastmasters helps me find my voice. It has changed my life." -Stanley K

I am shy. I don't want to speak in a group. I cannot imagine myself giving a speech. I stay away from that. But I value communication skills. I would like to lose the fear and speak more openly. I would like to find my own voice and not be afraid.

Is that you? At Fairleigh Early Birds (FEB) Toastmasters, we have many members like you. Most of us start like that, actually. We invite you to come to our next meeting. We know that FEB Toastmasters can help you.

Get An Edge

Toastmasters is also for candidates who are looking to get an edge in the corporate world.

Toastmasters helps people get promoted. Why? Improved communication skills have a lot to do there. Improved communication skills and more confidence also help you during interviews. Communication skills are very valuable in the business world.

Become A Better Leader

Toastmasters is also a great opportunity for leaders that are looking to get practice. Toastmasters provides hands on training. By becoming an officer, you are in charge. There are many leadership opportunities in our club.

How?

At each of our club meetings, members have opportunities to:

  • Answer an impromptu question.
  • Present prepared speeches on chosen subjects.
  • Receive constructive evaluation from an assigned evaluator in speech strengths and suggestions for improvement.
  • Take a role in a meeting (Preside over whole meeting; Timer; Grammarian, Wordmaster, and more).

What do you get?

By joining FEB Toastmasters, you get
  • Speaking practice at every meeting (you can only get better in speaking by practicing).
  • Toastmasters Magazine (monthly): excellent communications magazine written. by Toastmasters members around the world (the magazine itself is worth the membership price).
  • Meet with other dedicated members (like you) that want to improve.
  • Compentent Toastmaster and Competent Leader manuals from the Toastmasters Organization, that will make sure that you are developing the right skills.
  • Friendly, supportive, and challenging environment (that's why some of the members have been part of the club for 20 years!).

What are you waiting for? Join us!
