Doing an invocation is tough: you have to inspire others! One way of doing an effective invocation is to provide us with good quotes. This webpage contains a list of links to quotations pages: www.startingpage.com/html/quotations.html#bestlistings

Invocator Role

Your job as an invocator is to inspire us; give us an inspirational thought, a success story. It should be something that will motivate us and start the meeting on an inspirational, thought provoking or humorous note.

The invocation should be less than one minute and should be related (but does not have to) to the theme of the meeting.

During the Meeting

When called upon by the President, right at the start of the meeting, deliver your inspirational thought.

Prior to the Meeting

If you have not confirmed at the last meeting, make sure you confirm your role with the Toastmaster and the Vice President of Education.
